I wrote this in 2005 whilst at Bauer:
A customer in 3 years time will not buy a magazine subscription they will subscribe to a brand
They will want to access it on their web, mobile and tablet as well as magazine.
We , in turn, will then market a range of products based on the brand.
We will talk more and more direct to consumer as they want to communicate.
It seems so obvious now, but rest assured it wasn’t at the time when we operated so much in silos. It’s good to set out your vision of the future and see how close you get to it. Be it for yourself, company or a product you are working on.
